Event Facilitator

(Part Time Position)

Real Estate Institute seeks a part-time Event Facilitator to provide in-person and virtual support for adult students attending a class or proctored examination. These students must complete courses to satisfy professional licensing requirements. Our customers work (or seek to begin work) in real estate, mortgage, insurance, and legal professions.

Live events are held throughout the Chicagoland area and this position will be required to travel much of the time. Hours vary by week; most weeks require 15 – 29 hours of work. Your schedule will be set in advance, but in the unusual circumstance that an unexpected scheduling issue may arise, you may be called upon to see if you can fill in.  In addition to weekday business hours, we’re seeking candidates who have evening and weekend availability as well.

During class, there will be some downtime when you can read, study or use your time in other ways while remaining available to our students. As such, this position may be ideal for a partially or fully retired person or college student attending nighttime or online classes.

In addition to live events, the Event Facilitator will also be required to support our virtual events.  This part of the role requires you to learn our webinar delivery platform.  You will be the first point of contact for students if issues arise.  You will be required to provide basic technical support to both our students and instructors.  You will also monitor the overall user experience while facilitating.

Manager of Mortgage Education

(Full Time Position)

Real Estate Institute seeks a full-time Manager of Mortgage EducationThis is a unique opportunity to work at Illinois’ largest and most successful school for real estate and mortgage professionals.  In this role, you will combine your experience in the profession, subject matter expertise, and passion for helping others achieve their goals.  

Your Role:  You will coordinate and participate in time-sensitive course development activities, in support of the company’s national expansion.  In this capacity, you will create and enhance academic programs that thousands of students will attend annually.  You will be accountable for ensuring that programs achieve learning objectives and satisfy regulatory requirements, while creating positive student experiences.  You will also periodically teach mortgage pre-license and continuing education classes, so you must be a confident and effective presenter. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain course curriculum, which includes written materials, presentation materials, examinations, and instructor guides.
  • Instruct live and/or webinar class programs that are focused on pre-license and continuing education requirements outlined in federal law and implemented by our regulator.
  • Recruit and manage a team of supporting subject matter experts who will contribute to course development, as well as additional instructors for mortgage education programs.
  • Continually monitor program performance, making incremental changes that improve student satisfaction with our courses, as well as outcomes on the national exam required to obtain licensure as a mortgage loan originator.
  • Provide support for students who are currently enrolled in pre-license and continuing education courses.  We offer support in-person, by phone, and via e-mail.

Required skills and experience:

  • Must have worked in the residential mortgage industry as a Mortgage Loan Originator, Mortgage Loan Underwriter, or Compliance Professional (in any state) with at least five years of practical experience.

Webinar Administrator

(Full Time Position)

    Real Estate Institute seeks a full time Webinar Administrator to provide support our staff and adult students, who attend virtual classes related to their professional licensing requirements. Our customers work (or seek to begin work) in real estate, mortgage, insurance, and legal professions.

    This position has a varied schedule that requires availability during regular business hours along with some evenings and weekends.  Most work can be completed remotely, but some tasks may only be completed in-person at our Chicago-area office locations.

    The ideal candidate will be a technology enthusiast with experience using many types of computers/devices (PC, Mac, Android, iOS, etc) and accessories. 

    The Webinar Administrator spends a substantial amount of time monitoring and supporting live events, serving as the first point of contact to provide basic technical support to our students and instructors.   Additionally, you will be required to develop expertise regarding end-user, instructor, and administrator use of our webinar platform.  You will also be responsible for the overall user experience and will be expected to ensure the environment supports positive student outcomes.
