About This Course
This is a fully-interactive live course that allows you to interact with the instructor onsite in a professional classroom setting. Questions are answered in real-time and additional one-on-one help is available on difficult concepts as necessary.
Students who complete this course will receive 20 hours of pre-license education credit as required under the Federal SAFE Act for licensure as a loan originator and become prepared to begin working in the residential mortgage lending business in jurisdictions that do not require additional state-specific education 2.
This course covers the mandatory topics of federal law (3 hours), ethics (3 hours) and non-traditional mortgage lending (2 hours) in a manner that is easy to understand even for those with no prior origination experience. All of our instructors are currently active "in the trenches" loan originators and provide real-world examples and discussion to enhance the concepts covered in class.
The 12 'elective' hours include topics such as conventional and government loan product guidelines and qualification, income assessment, the secondary market, appraisals and credit scoring.
