Meet Your Requirements:

The IDFPR requires Illinois Real Estate Brokers renewing for the first time to complete 45 hours of post-license education; consisting of three 15-credit hour courses.

Transactional Issues
15 Credit Hours

Course 2:

Risk Management & Discipline
(Including Sexual Harassment Prevention)
15 Credit Hours

Applied Brokerage Principles
15 Credit Hours

Renewal Deadline: Illinois Real Estate Brokers must renew their license every two years by April 30 (even years). If renewing for the first time, check your license issue date with the IDFPR to confirm your deadline.

Yes. Real Estate Institute reports all successful course completions to the appropriate regulatory authority. We report electronically (when permitted) to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

How do I know if this is my first license renewal period?

To verify whether you're in your first license renewal period, you can do either of the following:

  • Visit the IDFPR website, search for your license, and check the "Original Issue Date."
  • Contact our customer service team at 800-995-1700 for assistance. We'll help you interpret your state licensing record and clarify your post-license education needs.

Do I need to complete a Sexual Harassment Prevention course in addition to the 45 hours of post-license education?

No. The required one (1) hour of Sexual Harassment Prevention training is included in our 45 hour post-license program.
